On May 28, 2022, several CSE and EEE Department students paid a visit to Datasoft Manufacturing & Assembly (DMA) Ltd. Limited at its R&D facility in Gulshan-2, Dhaka. The industrial visit was hosted by ULAB IoT Lab. Welcome to the ULAB team from Masuda Bhatti, executive director, journalist, editor, author, teacher, human rights activist, and businessperson.

Mr. Ratan-Hasan Rahman, MD, DMA, showcased a number of IoT-based applications. During the tour, the students learned about the sector, current IoT-based initiatives, and received advice on how to get ready for the job market in this area.Students were accompanied by faculty members such as Dr. Farhana Sarker of the CSE Department, Dr. Muhammad Golam Kibria, Associate Professor, and Department Head Dr. Abul Kalam Al Azad. The ULAB team was directed by Dr. Kibria, Director of the IoT Lab. The IoT Lab hosted the industrial visit, with assistance from UCPC, the IEEE Student Branch, and the IEEE Computer Society ULAB Student Branch.
