General Meeting
IEEE ULAB Student Branch organized an online General Meeting with an agenda of upcoming programmes for summer 20 and upcoming Computer Society (CS) election on 15th June 2020 at 3:00 pm with 9 participants where the speaker was Dr.Muhammad Golam Kibria(Advisor of IEEE Computer Society ULAB Student Branch Chapter)
Dr. Kibria worked as a Research Assistant at AnLab at HUFS, South Korea from 2014 to 2018, and contributed to several projects at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T). Dr. Kibria has published a number of research works in different international indexed Journals and Conference Proceedings. His major interest includes Internet of Things (IoT), a leading research area in the present tech-driven world, semantic web, and Web-of-Objects. Dr. Kibria received the South Korea’s Foreign Student Scholarship, achieved an MSc degree with Merit and he was awarded the third-prize at the Asia-Pacific Conference on Business Process Management 2015 (AP-BPM 2015) in 2015. Dr. Muhammad Golam Kibria achieved Ph.D. in Engineering in 2018 with a major in Computer and Information Communication Engineering from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), South Korea, M.Sc. in Mobile Computing and communications in 2008 from Greenwich University, United Kingdom (UK), and BSc in Computer Science from North South University in 2003.
In the meeting Dr.kibria discussed the upcoming events of summer 20 like programming contests and webinars, introduced those who will stand in CS election, finalized the voting date, and how an orderly manner of voting can be arranged. He communicated with everyone and heard everyone’s concerns and opinions carefully.
All in all, it was a fruitful session. The candidates were all curious and looking forward to election day. The excitement could be felt through everyone’s opinions
