IEEE Computer Society BDC – Meet & Greet 2019: Dhaka

IEEE Computer Society Bangladesh Chapter aims to create a strong community that promotes technological growth. To achieve this goal, the IEEE Computer Society BD Chapter held “IEEE Computer Society BDC MEET & GREET 2019: Dhaka” in collaboration with the IEEE ULAB Student Branch on March 2nd, 2019 at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh. Key speakers were Anirban Mazumder and Subhajit Saha, Prasenjit Pal. The program started on 2nd March 2019 at 2:30 pm and ended at 7:00 pm. 

Mr. Prasenjit is a Principal Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) India’s Advisory – Technology Consulting business, working in the Data & Analytics group. He received his B.Tech. from Kolkata’s the West Bengal University of Technology. He has 12+ years of IT and Technology Consulting experience in Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and Data Conversion for industries such as Manufacturing, Telecom, Manufacturing, HR and Recruitment, Gaming and Entertainment, Healthcare, Energy Utility, Education, and Service across a variety of functional areas such as Financial, Revenue Assurance, Procurement and Spend, Operational, Supply Chain, Order and Inventory management, Distribution. 

Mr. Subhajit works for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) India as an Associate Director in the Advisory – Technology Consulting Group. He has more than ten years of expertise in leading and managing numerous data and analytics initiatives. Subhajit holds a Masters in Business 

Administration (MBA) from SIBM in Pune and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) from BIT in Bangalore. He has a deep awareness of business and commercial transactions, as well as corporate processes. He has an extensive domain understanding of performance measurements, systems, and applications in a variety of industries. He has demonstrated his ability to conceptualize industry-specific use cases for advanced analytics employing machine learning and artificial intelligence, and he is passionate about developing and deploying advanced statistical methods and solutions in a variety of industries. 

Mr. Anirban works for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) India’s Advisory – Technology Consulting Group as the Managing Director. Anirban is a Technology Consulting Driver in Bangladesh, with 15+ years of expertise in the telecom, retail, ITES, banking, financial services, and manufacturing industries. Anirban earned his PGDM from SPJIMR in Mumbai, M. Tech from IIT in Delhi, and BE from Jadavpur University in Kolkata. He has been involved with several consulting projects covering Advanced Analytics planning and execution, strategic roadmap design, Planning & Budgeting, IFRS consolidation, ERP deployment, and Data Analytics solution as part of the Advisory- Technology Consulting team. In the fields of computer vision, speech-to-text analytics, IoT-based Big data analytics, and predictive maintenance, he is enthusiastic about conceptualizing, developing, and executing analytical solutions for major MNC clients throughout the industry. 

The key parts of the sessions were Industry Panel Discussion (Data Analytics for Business Growth in the 21st century), Technical talks by the speakers and a presentation by Student Branch IEEE Computer Society Chapters, and a networking session. Some extra highlights were the session on Organizing IEEE Sponsored Events, Conference, and Session on Benefits

and Prospects for IEEE Computer Society Membership. The participants were able to gather knowledge on how they can progress their careers with IEEE. gifts and goodies were provided to the participants. The process was highly appreciated by the participants and everyone involved.
