On 24th April 2022, IEEE ULAB Student Branch along with IEEE ULAB Robotics & Automation Society SBC & IEEE ULAB SB WIE Affinity Group successfully organized the IEEE ULAB Student Branch Iftaar meet-up 2022 at the cafeteria of ULAB Permanent Campus. The event was about a friendly get-together with the current members, alumni members, and respected faculty members while breaking fast in the holy month of Ramadan.

There were a total of 40 people present at the event. The registration fee for student members was 200 BDT. For alumni members, it was 300 BDT and for the faculty members, it was 500 BDT. The event promotion started one week prior to the event along with registration and necessary instructions for payment. 

The preparation for the event started at 5:30 p.m. The team members decorated the cafeteria. By 6:00 p.m. all the guests who were invited were present in the venue. The counselor of IEEE ULAB Student Branch, Dr. Nafees Mansoor, PhD, Head of Department of Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering, ULAB, Dr. Abul Kalam Al Azad, PhD and advisor of IEEE Computer Society ULAB Student Branch Chapter, Dr. Muhammad Golam Kibria, PhD were there as honorable guests. The alumni members were also present at the event who served on the executive committee of IEEE ULAB Student Branch in various time periods. 

Everyone broke their fast in time and enjoyed the food together. Seasonal fruits, drinks, famous Chicken chap, luchi, and other items were on the menu. The food items were admired by all the guests present at the event. After finishing the iftar everyone went for their prayer. There was a coffee facility. Then the faculty members and alumni members had a friendly chat with everyone. Pictures were taken to commemorate the event and by 7:30 p.m. everyone left the campus and returned to their homes.

The event was very important for IEEE ULAB Student Branch because it helped everyone to connect with each other after a long time. Everyone appreciated the initiative taken by IEEE ULAB Student Branch in collaboration. The guests of the event think that this type of event will boost the relationship between the current members and the former members along the way and will be fruitful for future initiatives.
