IEEE ULAB Student Branch organized “Microsoft Azure for Beginners” on 3rd November, 2016. The event went on for 2 hours, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The event was held at Campus-A at room 301. Former IEEE ULAB SB webmaster, Mr. M. A Nakib was the speaker for the event.
Mr. Nakib collaborates in a number of technical community engagement activities on a regular basis. He is a Microsoft Innovative educator master trainer & Azure solution Architect Expert” ,”Microsoft MVP” and a “Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT)” Microsoft Innovative educator master trainer & Azure solution Architect Expert” . Working for Microsoft Bangladesh as a Technical Evangelist and Technical Manager for over four years was one of his most significant roles. Deputy Manager on Cloud Infrastructure at CloudThat is one of his current responsibilities, among many others.
The event focused on teaching engineering students on how to build web-apps and services on Microsoft Azure cloud storage. The participants were required to create a Microsoft account to participate in the event. The event was open for the engineering students of ULAB (CSE, ETE, EEE). From this event the students got hands-on experience from an expert. This will make their engineering life a bit easier as various aspects of how to create web-apps and services on Microsoft Azure were discussed. The constant discussions between the participants and the speaker made the event vibrant.
